APPLICATIONS
Intervention
of wireline or coiled tubing into productive wells has always
been considered as a last resort there are inescapable
inherent dangers associated with such operations. On the other
hand, the need to gather up-to-date downhole data still exists,
as part of a properly managed reservoir-monitoring programme.
Permanent
downhole pressure / temperature gauges have been the solution
to the above dilemma for more than a decade now but the
risk (and cost) of gauge failures has been high.
Nan Gall
Energy Systems Ltd has been manufacturing pressure / temperature
gauges for many years and has gained enormous experience during
this time. Nan Galls permanent gauges and surface interface
system represent the fruits of this experience.
By working
with service providers, Nan Gall tailor their systems to their
customers needs.
- Pressure connections
are built to specification.
- Pressure housings
can be sealed by o-rings, metal-to-metal or fully welded seals.
- Impedance matching
is done exactly to the specifications of the customers
cable specifications.
- In-built redundancy
can be up to eight-fold (up to eight gauges (or other sensors)
on a single cable).
- Surface hardware
and software to permanently monitor and record all downhole
sensors.
In this
way, the best available surface and downhole data acquisition
systems can be matched with the best cable, clamp and penetrater
systems.
