APPLICATIONS
The in-line
flowmeter produces a pulse frequency, which is proportional to
the fluid velocity. This signal is then digitised for transmission
to surface or storage downhole in memory. The information is then
combined with other production logging data to give an accurate
flow profile for use in production analysis. The in-line flowmeter
provides a valuable back up to the full and fixed bore flowmeters,
which are normally run at the bottom of the tool string.
